About Me

My name is Andrea Usuelli, I was born in Milan (where I still live), on March 3rd 1991. In 2010 I graduated in accounting and computing and I’m currently studying computer science at the University of Milano-Bicocca.

I’m an Admin at Italiansubs.net since 2006, one of the biggest communities in Italy (in the TOP 250 Italian websites for visits according to Alexa), in particular I manage the server infrastructure behind it and I help with the coding.

Apart from that I also manage a few dedicated servers and vps, write technical articles and keep up with the latest technologies.

Brief italian presentation aka Chi sono?

Mi chiamo Andrea Usuelli, abito a Milano da quando sono nato il 3 Marzo 1991, mi sono diplomato in ragioneria ad indirizzo programmatori nel 2010 e attualmente sono iscritto ad informatica presso l’università di Milano-Bicocca.

Al momento gestisco alcuni server/vps linux ed in particolare l’infrastruttura che regge Italiansubs.net di cui sono Admin dal 2006 e al quale contribuisco al coding del sito e a qualche sporadica traduzione.

Amministrare i server di una community così vasta (nella TOP 250 dei siti più visitati in Italia secondo Alexa) mi ha sicuramente fatto imparare molto, soprattutto nel campo dell’ottimizzazione delle risorse, verso cui sono particolarmente interessato e su cui mi tengo costantemente aggiornato leggendo (e scrivendo) articoli di settore ed effettuando testing approfonditi.
